A Peek Inside the USA Bid Committee Meeting

The USA World Cup Bid Committee just wrapped up their powwow here at Insider Towers a few moments ago. The members that were present closed the gathering with a group photo in the reception area before heading their separate ways. I actually ended up in an elevator with Drew Carey (for the second time in about a month) when he was on his way out; he’s a lot taller than he looks on TV.

If you’re curious, the video above is a sampling of what the early part of the afternoon was like here. It was definitely one of those surreal days when (if you work here) you have to stop and think about how lucky you are to do what you do for a living; where else would you get Henry Kissinger and Mia Hamm sitting at the same table?
