PGE Park Gets 3D Makeover

BY SHAWN FRANCIS

In just over 2 months, Portland’s PGE Park is due to undergo the final phase of conversion from a multi-sport venue to a soccer-specific stadium. You can get a sneak peak of sorts of the final product right now at PortlandMLS2011.com by taking a look at their Virtual Venue seat selector. Even if you are too far from Portland to see the Timbers on a regular basis you should definitely give the super-slick application a whirl as it’s a pretty cool way to see where the best seats in the house are located. It’s also a fun toy for the stadium snob in you!

  1. Gotta love the score on the scoreboard.

  2. My only question is: will the stadium have artificial turf? I pray to God that’s not the case. Football is meant to be played on real grass! NO to artificial turf!!!I can’t decide which is more disgusting, the piece of shit jabulani World Cup ball, or playing the beautiful game at artificial turf…
