is he 16 or 17?
Good signing; but, more importantly, the league and the players need to get a CBA done. You both have the power to make or destroy soccer in this country. Please make responsible decisions for the benefit of the game.
16.
Let’s hope MLS and the media don’t hype this kid up and pull another Freddy Adu.
I agree with JJ, if MLS goes on strike or lockout forget about soccer having any presence in this country.
With Luis Gil, obviosuly he is still very young and who knows what will become of him but the more of these young players MLS gets into the league and KEEPS them long term, the better it is for the league without question.

There won’t be another Adu-style hype-fest for as long as people still remember the first one. Once bitten, twice shy.

And I believe he doesn’t turn 17 until November.
Weighted lottery?…So how is MLS going to fix it so he plays for new york or LA? Total joke….
When exactly has NY won any of these weighted lotteries? Do you even follow the league? Ever since RB took over they have gotten nothing from the league.
He is from Cal, so I am guessing LA or SJ to be close to his family, and either one of those teams will mysteriously win.
Albeit odds favor NY (maybe Phily due to expansion)as they had the worst record last year followed by SJ.
mr:
the same way they ‘fixed’ the last lottery so that Columbus got Robbie Rogers
