“Hello!”, “¡Hola!”, “Hallo!” and “What’s Up?!” MLS fans. Welcome to MLS Insider, the first and only blog in the history of the soccersphere to emanate from the bowels of MLS HQ. As we all know there are plenty of fantastic blogs out there covering Major League Soccer, but there has never been a blog from Major League Soccer. So one night while a few of us were gathered around the office foosball table (the one with the semi-ironic Andrew Shue poster above it) we decided it was the right time to get a piece of our own action; why let everyone else have all the fun?
By game’s end (I lost BTW but only because the other guy kept “accidentally” spinning even though we’d both agreed that there would be no spins) we’d decided on a name and a direction. We will take on the classic, informative “Insider” identity and be exactly that. Whenever possible we will use the power of access for good, not evil, and provide all who are interested with exclusive content and a unique, inside view of our league and our game. And above all else we will entertain; no one likes a boring blog.
Which brings us to were we are now, hopped up on a vision and raring to go. And as it’s MLS Cup week we figured there couldn’t be a better time for all of us to get acquainted. So do not be afraid. Do not panic. Do not adjust your browser settings…we are controlling transmission.
